Katy Jones, Little Rock Attorney

Katy joined Lassiter & Cassinelli in 2023 as an associate attorney.

Katy is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2015 with a degree in International Studies with a focus in Political Science and East Asia, and a minor in Mandarin Chinese. While at Southwestern University she was twice named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, awarded Outstanding Student of the Year in Political Science, and awarded the Senior Student Leadership Award in 2015. Katy earned her juris doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 2018, where she served as Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, Executive Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, Treasurer of Law Students for Reproductive Justice, and Secretary of OUT*Law. She was also selected to the Order of the Barristers for exhibited excellence in the art of courtroom advocacy and her involvement with the Alternative Dispute Resolution team, where she placed as a finalist in two competitions.

Following her graduation from law school, Katy was admitted to the state bar of Texas, where she practiced for three years as an Assistant District Attorney at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in Houston, Texas. During her tenure there, Katy handled thousands of cases, ranging from traffic tickets to Aggravated Sexual Assaults and Murders. Her experience as a prosecutor gives her a unique perspective on the workings of the criminal justice system. Katy now handles criminal defense cases, as well as civil litigation and domestic relations cases. Katy knows that the act of hiring a lawyer indicates a severely trying time in a clients life, whether they are facing criminal charges, a divorce, or other financial strain. It is her honor to advocate for you during that trying time and provide honest and compassionate representation to her clients.

Katy moved to Little Rock in 2022 with her wife, their dog, and two cats. When she is not tirelessly working for her clients, you can find Katy spending time with her family and friends, reading any book she can get her hands on, or baking desserts to share.
